John (Program #19) - The Need of the Dying - Life’s Healing

The Spirit of Life imparts the divine life into our whole being to defeat death, to heal us from our dying condition, and to make us a being full of the life of God.

We’ve been examining the marvelous and well-known cases in John 3 and 4 of the moral and righteous teacher Nicodemus, then the thirsty sinful woman that the Lord encountered in Samaria. Today we’re dealing with the royal official’s dying son at the end of chapter 4.

Numbers (Program #20) - Fighting (1)

As the Old Testament is a book of pictures and types, what does Canaan signify?  Well, to many people it is synonymous with heaven.  Actually Canaan, one of the names for the good land that God brought His people Israel into in the Old Testament which is also a type of the all-inclusive Christ that we are possessing in the New Testament, was a name used to describe the land when it was filled with enemies, even giants that had to be fought against and overcome before the people can go in.  The warfare of God’s people against the authorities and rulers of Satan’s kingdom is the topic of our life study today in Numbers.

John (Program #18) - The Need of the Immoral - Life’s Satisfying (2)

There is quite a sharp contrast between the Lord’s way and the way I would call religion severity. His way was gentle, wise, divine, and I would say humane. What a wise Savior we have!

In our last program, we fellowshipped about the first part of John 4 and the woman at the well not being satisfied. The Lord told her that if she continued to drink of that water, she would never be satisfied. This is evidence by the fact that she went from husband to husband. And even the one that she was with at the time, she was not married to. This is a thirsty, thirsty woman. And what the Lord offered her was not religion, but Himself as another kind of water, living water. Isn’t this what the Lord is saying to all of us in that we never seemed to be satisfied?

Numbers (Program #19) - Journeying (12)

When we want or need something from God what is our attitude?   Do we come to Him meekly in a begging way or do we come demanding that He give us this or that?  Well, probably your prayers are more in a pleading or begging van rather than ordering God to do something.  But you might be surprised to realize that there are actually are times the Lord will response when we speak to Him in a direct way, bidding Him to grant our need.  It all depends on what we are asking for.  Stay tune for a wonderfully insightful program on today’s life study from Numbers.

John (Program #17) - The Need of the Immoral - Life’s Satisfying (1)

Many people today have a hunger inside of them. They can’t be satisfied. So the second need of man after we receive the eternal life is to enjoy eternal life, and to drink of the eternal life until the eternal life becomes in us a well of water springing up.

In yesterday’s broadcast, Witness spoke from John chapter 3, concerning the increase of Christ and the immeasurable Christ.  Today we continue our life study of the gospel of John with the case of the Samaritan woman in chapter 4, showing how the divine life meets the need of the immoral by the satisfaction of the living water.

Numbers (Program #18) - Journeying (11)

In Numbers chapter 20, the people of God were journeying through the wilderness on their way to the good land.  But water was scarce and the two million Hebrews with their substantial flocks and herds were suffering.  As might be expected, this cause people to complain and contend with Moses.  The attitude of the people brought out frustration and even anger on the part of Moses who had seen the Lord’s own anger and judgment brought upon the people for their previous rebellion.  But Moses’ dealing with them in this case, brought in God’s judgment once more.  Only this time not upon the people, but upon Moses.

John (Program #16) - The Increase of Christ and the Immeasurable Christ

Regeneration is not for you to go to heaven. Regeneration is for the increase of Christ. Regeneration is for the producing of the bride.

God’s eternal purpose was that man would be just a vessel including the human life. Our human life with our human being is just a vessel to contain the divine life. The divine life is God’s goal. And, the divine life is God Himself. His goal is that we as a human being with a human life have to receive the divine life into our being as our real life. This is the real meaning of regeneration.

Numbers (Program #17) - Journeying (10)

When God’s people rebel against Him by challenging the ones that God has selected to speak for Him and lead them, God’s response was severe and momentous; the earth opened up and swallowed the leaders of this rebellion.  Then the Lord came as a pillar of fire to consume others who had joined the rebellion.  These great miracles were associated with God’s judgment.  But when the time came for the Lord to vindicate Himself and His chosen ones, it was not a great miracle, but the smallest one; simply causing a dead and dried up stick to bud, blossom and bear fruit.

John (Program #15) - The Need of the Moral People - Life’s Regenerating (2)

Today, when we would repent and lift up our heart and look at the very Jesus crucified on the cross, what would happen to us? I tell you, sin would be removed and the serpentine nature would be dealt with. And, Satan would be destroyed, and we will have life eternity.

Regardless how cold you are or how bad you are, as long as you are a human being, you need to be terminated. And, you need to be germinated. Germinated with what? Germinated with the divine life. You need another life. To get another life, you need another birth.

Numbers (Program #16) - Journeying (8-9)

Rebellion.  Of all the evils and sins of mankind none carry greater consequence nor evoke a more serious reaction from God.  That’s because the target or object of all rebellion is authority which comes from and signify God Himself.  God’s people Israel were caught up in acts of rebellion against God and His deputy authority on many occasions.  The book of Numbers records the accounts of several progressive stages of rebellion ultimately resulting in God’s judgment and wrath being poured out in a very sobering display.  The on-going and progressive rebellion of Israel in the wilderness is again our topic on our life study from Numbers.
