Genesis (Program #8) – The Fourth-Day Lights (2)

Our last program open up the matter of the  two kinds of light that God brought forth in creation.   May be we can begin today with a short review of the significance of these two kinds of light.

It is a sad fact that great many genuine children of God grow minimally, if at all after their rebirth experience.  They may increase in knowledge, they may improve their behavior, but they may be far behind in the genuine increase of Christ as life within them.  One reason for this is the lack of what we may call following Brother Lee’s exposition of Genesis; the fourth day lights.  This is a more solid light a more intense light.  Whereas the light of the first day was the light for rebirth, the light of the fourth day is the light for growth.  To be regenerated we need the divine light.  If we are to grow in the divine life we received through regeneration, we need a brighter light, a more intense light a more solid light.  This kind of light is signified by the lights on the fourth day; the sun, the moon and the stars…

1 John 2:2 says that Christ “.. Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for those of the whole world. ”  However this propitiation is conditional upon our receiving it by believing in the Lord. Otherwise everyone in the world will be saved.

We are going to talk about the conditions of the divine fellowship today.

1 John (Program #12) – The Divine Light and the Divine Truth (5)

The aged apostle who wrote one of the last books of the New Testament surely knew the trouble Christians have in their experience of dealing with sins. And that’s why the apostle John wrote in his first epistle in 2:1 “My little children, these things I write to you that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous;

1 John (Program #11) – The Divine Light and the Divine Truth (4)

The apostle John says in 1 John 1:8-9 “If we say that we do not have sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The apostle’s word shows that Christians still have a sinful nature and that there is a way to deal with the sins in the life of a Christian.

1 John (Program #10) – The Divine Light and the Divine Truth (2)

1 John 1:6 says, “If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and are not practicing the truth;

What is truth?  John 4:23-24 says “But an hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truthfulness, for the Father also seeks such to worship Him.  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truthfulness.”  So, truth or truthfulness is very related to our worship of God.

Numbers (Program #2) – Being Formed into an Army (1)

The first five books of the Bible are generally attributed to Moses and they formed a unit commonly referred to as the Pentateuch.  The fourth of this series is the book of Numbers, perhaps the most obscure among the five.  Outwardly it seems simple enough not overly inspiring for chronicles the numbering of God’s people Israel for the purpose of forming them into an army to fight for God’s testimony as they travel for 40 years through wilderness.  But if our eyes are open, our spirit set to receive God’s divine light, we can see the whole of the divine revelation express in picture forms through its pages.  Even the key elements of Christ’s ministry on earth and the ultimate consummation of the Bible, New Jerusalem are depicted here in Numbers.  Seem dubious?  Well stay tune.

Leviticus (Program #33) – The Holiness in Enjoying the Holy Things

Leviticus 24 is a chapter talking about the lampstand and the showbread table within the tabernacle.  It goes into great detail regarding how the priests were to attend to the care and arrangement of these two important items in the tabernacle. In order to serve God as priests, we also need to take care of two things; the divine light and the divine food.  How the levitical priests conducted themselves show us great deal about how we can have a deeper and more meaningful experience of Christ in this age.
