Hebrews (Program #33) – A Divine High Priest, Living and Able to Save

A priest forever after the order of Melchisedec means a lot and we will hear in this message today some of the deeper aspects of this meaning.  To most Christians, the priesthood of Christ is something we seldom, if ever, consider.  It sounds a bit lofty and spiritual to our natural ears to get very excited about.  But the view of Christ in Hebrews as our great High Priest is one that will stir our hearts and lift us up.

Genesis (Program #103) – Being Transformed (9)

Several programs ago, we touched briefly the matter of the drink offering that Jacob poured out in chapter 35.  Today we come back to spend entire program on this deep and very touching point.

Hebrews (Program #32) – A Kingly High Priest, Perpetual and Great

To most people, the words soul and spirit are interchangeable, even to many Christians.  But Hebrews 4:12 tells us that not only are they not the same, but the word of God can divide them apart.  To miss this distinction is to miss one of the keys to experiencing Christ.  We will look at the human spirit on today’s life-study of the Bible.

Genesis (Program #102) – The Way to be Perfected as a Pillar

Today’s program is going to focus on some very practical and experience-oriented fellowship.  We’re going to get a personal testimony from Witness Lee regarding how the Lord called him to serve and some critical revelations and realizations that he received very early in his Christian life.  And we are going to hear several references to Witness Lee and his time with Watchman Nee in China.  For the benefit of those listeners that are not familiar with the Lord’s move in China in the first half of the century, we are going to say a short word.

Hebrews (Program #31) – The Heavenly Ministry of the Heavenly Christ

Too many of us as Christians have stopped our progress at the cross but we have not gone on to experience Christ on the throne. Today’s message I believe we’ll get much help how to progress on our Christian life.

We’re going to see Christ today as the Great High Priest ministering in two aspects. I think this portion of Scripture may tend to scare some people off because they just don’t understand what these types and pictures refer to and how they apply to them. The message we’re hearing today so clearly defines both of these aspects – the priesthood according to Aaron and the priesthood according to the order of Melchisedec. We will get a full appreciation of what has been accomplished by Christ as our High Priest.

Genesis (Program #101) – Being Transformed (8)

We are going to see Jacob for the second time set up a pillar in Bethel.  In the first instance in chapter 28, he was associated with a wonderful dream…

Hebrews (Program #30) – To Be Brought on to Maturity and Fleeing into the Refuge with the Anchor and the Forerunner

Today we will see how as Christians we can be brought on to maturity and how we can flee into the refuge which God has created for us.

We’ve all experienced the feeling that we must never have been saved – the way we fail and fall away from the Lord and His grace at times. This is a common experience to all who desires to follow the Lord. But when we fall, God’s provision and His desire to restore us is a much different path than the one we paved for ourselves.

Genesis (Program #100) – The Builder of the Pillars—The Skillful Hiram (2)

As we look at the second of a two-part message dealing with Hiram, the builder of the pillars in 1 King.  This is really a life study of Genesis but we are taking a short detour through 1 King to really explore this matter of the one person in the Old Testament record named by name as being involved in the actual construction of God’s House, God’s Temple.

Hebrews (Program #29) – The Word of Righteousness and the Word of the Beginning of Christ

If you want to mature in Christ and if you hunger for the solid food of the Word, please pay attention – this message is just for you.

The Word of God has many different titles and scripture and even more functions – it’s called the Word of Grace, the Word of Life, even the Good Word. But in Hebrews, it’s called the Word of Righteousness. This is the solid nourishing word that can bring us on to maturity.

We’re not quite halfway through this life study of Hebrews and it seems that in nearly every turn, we are challenged and even stretched by what is opened up in Hebrews.  Because this book is so profound and deep, every turn it takes really challenges those of us who approaches it with still elementary understanding of God and the things of God. more…

Genesis (Program #99) – The Builder of the Pillars—The Skillful Hiram (1)

We had several programs dealing with the pillars related to the House of God.  Today’s program is somewhat a parenthesis focusing on one man, identified by name in the Bible as a pillar builder.  He is really the only person involved with building the temple that we know by his name.  Why is this significant?
