Romans (Program #56) – Designation by the Mingled Spirit

What we need today is the practical way for us, the Christians, to contact the Lord. As we call upon the name of the Lord Jesus, we touch the Spirit, who is the realization and application of the Triune God.

We may study electricity as a science and learn all of the theoretical truths concerning it, but until we find the switch and turn it on in our own home, it has no application to us. This is a graphic illustration of the Christian life that we have been seeing in the marvelous book of Romans. We’re going to focus on the switch today on our Life-Study of the Bible with Witness Lee.

Romans (Program #34) – The Basic Points in Chapters 5-8

The Lord is with our spirit, so this wonderful. If we’re going to contact God, we need to exercise our spirit. God is Spirit, those who worship Him must worship Him in their spirit so that we can live and walk according to the Spirit who is mingled with our spirit.

If you’ve ever had the experience of making a resolution to be better, or to try harder, or promising never to do something again and then failing miserably, you will want to stay tuned for today’s Life-Study of Romans with Witness Lee.

We’re going to revisit Romans 5 to 8. In these chapters, we’ll see something wonderful concerning how we can experience and enjoy Christ. In today’s message we’re going to hear Witness Lee talk about the Spirit as it’s mentioned in chapter eight. In reading these verses, it seems almost impossible to tell whether the reference is made to the divine Spirit or the human spirit. Every person asked themselves at some point in their life, why am I here? Or even what’s the reason for the universe and everything in it?  Well, as believers we probably add to those questions a third, why did God save me? What purpose does He has for me being a Christian?  Well, these are the great questions that had perplexed and puzzled mankind for all time. Yet the Bible speaks very clearly to these great universal questions, especially in the New Testament book of Ephesians. We will consider the answers to these questions from the perspective that the apostle Paul gives us in this most marvelous book of the Bible.
