Philippians (Program #39) -To Participate in the Bountiful Supply of the Spirit

There is the Christ of the divine record, the Bible, the Christ of history, our eternal Redeemer and Savior.  Believers have honored and worshiped Him through the centuries and rightly so. But what about the present Christ?  The Christ of our moment by moment salvation Who went through such a marvelous process not only that He can be with us but even more that He could be in us.  The subjective Christ, that’s our focus today as it should be everyday.

Philippians (Program #38) -The Riches of Christ Realized in the Bountiful Supply of the Spirit

Philippians 1:21 says “For to me to live is Christ.”  What does the apostle mean when he says “for me to live is Christ”?  And how do we actually live Christ?

The subject today is “to live Christ”.   We have been on this verses for a number of programs now from Philippians 1:21.  It is important for us to see the basis by which Paul made such a comment and the basis is our relationship to God. Of course every one knows and realizes in listening to this program that God is our creator and that also He is our redeemer but Paul was focusing on something even more organic.

Philippians (Program #37) -The Rich Word, the Bountiful Supply, and Unceasing Prayer for Living Christ

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.”  Colossians 3:16.  We have another life study today revealing the secret of connecting the Word, the bountiful supply of the Spirit and unceasing prayer for the purpose of living Christ.

We come to the critical matter of just how to take this processed Triune God that we’ve been hearing about in recent programs into our being as food.  Many of us have thought that this means to just memorize Bible verses and recite them, may be we have a box full of verses that sits on our dinner table and we practice that. This is a good practice that we don’t put it down. But there is more to this then just memorizing verses.

Philippians (Program #36) -The Riches of the Bountiful Supply of the Spirit Embodied in the Word

The religious world always seeks to do a big outward work but God wants to do an inward work, to come into man to be his life and everything. And He does this through the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ that is embodied in the Word. Today pointing us once again to the indwelling Christ and how we can practically live by Him and overcome so many things in our lives.

It’s good to come back to the inward working of the Triune God. Truly God wants to enter into us and He wants to live in us and He wants to express through us.

This wonderful person of Christ wants to indwelt us and work within us to accomplish His purpose. And we are going to hear the striking word: the basic thought of the whole Bible is that God as the Triune God wants to work Himself into man. If we were to ask a thousand people on the street of what is the basic thought of the whole Bible, how many would have any answer at all?

Philippians (Program #35) – Living Christ by Receiving the Word Through the Spirit

Do you ever wonder how the Christian life can be more practical to you or how you can experience the rich Christ that you heard spoken of.

We are touching the things that are most burdened with. To review some of the key verses and in this comparison we have been looking at the two verses, Philippians 1:19-20 “For I know that for me this will turn out to salvation through your petition and the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, According to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I will be put to shame, but with all boldness, as always, even now Christ will be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death.” And the comparison we are going to see 2:12 and16.  Verse 12 “So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only but now much rather in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; and verse 16, “Holding forth the word of life, so that I may have a boast in the day of Christ that I did not run in vain nor labor in vain.”

Philippians (Program #34) – To Live Christ by the Spirit

If you were asked what’s the goal of the Christian life, how would you respond? How would most people respond?  A likely answer might be the goal of the Christian life is to go to heaven. This might be the most frequent answer to this question. But it is not an answer that the Bible supports. Philippians gives us some help in answering this question. Paul says, “For me to live is Christ.”  We will explore this marvelous quotation from Philippians chapter 1.

Paul’s intense focus on Christ. Paul did not speak of going to heaven, he spoke of living Christ…

Philippians (Program #33) – The Bountiful Supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ for Magnifying Christ

In Genesis the first book in the Bible, the Spirit is simply called the Spirit of God.  By the time we come to the gospel this Spirit has become the Holy Spirit.  And in the Epistles the Spirit of Jesus Christ.  Would the Bible used such term lightly or without significance?  One thing we can say about the Bible, it is no way light or insignificant. This Spirit of Jesus Christ as Paul refers to it in Philippians becomes the bountiful supply of our daily even moment by moment salvation. Please do not miss today’s critically important life study of the Bible.

This message is really marvelous, I believe it can be instrumental in helping countless believers in their daily walk with the Lord. If we could really grasp what Paul was saying in these few verses in Philippians chapter 1, and we could apply them to our daily life.  I believe it will revolutionized our Christian experience. more…

Philippians (Program #32) – Grace, Salvation, the Spirit and Christ

Is grace just something you call amazing when you sing that famous song? Or do you experience grace to the extent that you called it my grace as apostle Paul did in Philippians 1:7.   Do you know really know what it means to magnify Christ in your daily life as Paul did in Philippians 1:20?   Or is Christ just a doctrine to you that never make it out of your Sunday morning service?   We hope you all are experiencing the marvelous, personal, saving Christ day by day in an intimate way, if you are, you will really enjoy today’s program because it is very much on this experiential side. If you are not we also like you to stay tune to be attracted to the deeper experience of Christ.

Four words that we want to look at today in Philippians 1, and these 4 words that Paul used in a very experiential way. These words particularly: grace, salvation, the Spirit and Christ.  Each of them points to a deeper experience and enjoyment of Christ.

Philippians (Program #31) – Paul’s Greeting and Blessing

When you hear a word about offering a gift to the Lord are you full of joy and enlivened by the thought or you have the feeling similar to that of getting a tooth pulled?   We are going to talk about the matter of giving today but in a way that is much different that is how it is normally been presented in Christian circles.  But it is the way that the apostle Paul talks about it in Philippians chapter 4, an enlightening subject that the Body of Christ needs a good deal of enlightenment.

Giving and receiving in chapter 4, it is sad that such a precious and important matter among God’s people have been so spoiled and damaged today.  To many this matter of giving has become a deadening experience. But on today’s program we can say this is something full of life. The word, the term Paul used to see how this matter is really related to life.

Philippians (Program #30) -The Believers Fellowship in the Apostle’s Need

If you owe a debt to someone would you ever have the boldness to say “My God will repay you?”  Most of us will stop short of such a declaration. Yet the apostle Paul because of his oneness with the Lord Can say to the Philippians believers “my God shall fill every need of yours.”  We have an enlightening even and uplifting portion of the ministry today.  When we come to the matter of giving, in the material realm as believers we need a good deal of enlightening and uplifting because this is a topic that has been contaminated to such an extend by religion that we almost dare not to talk about it. But the Bible talks about it so we would handle it faithfully and with much fearfulness of not adding that contamination.
