Exodus (Program #133) – The Sanctification of Aaron and His Sons to be the Priests (4) God’s Food, Anointing and Peace Offering and Blood

The gospel of John 1:29 contains a well-know phrase to most Christians, “behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”  If we’ve ever enjoyed this verse, we’ve enjoyed Christ as the fulfillment of the offerings described in the Old Testament.  This realization of Christ as seen through the Old Testament in a general way is very precious to us.  But even more precious is to see the details associated with many of these Old Testament offerings.  For each of them display another marvelous facet of God’s Lamb and our Savior Christ.

Isaiah (Program #43) – The All-Inclusive Christ in His Four Stages (1)

Isaiah chapter 53 was written 2,700 years ago.  Although Jews, philosophers and even unbelievers have been reading these chapters over 27 centuries without any idea of what they were reading.  We believers have but to read a few verses, we realize spontaneously that this word is unique and profound and unmistakable portrait of our Savior Christ written 700 years before His coming.  This is the Christ of Isaiah.  Don’t miss His appearance on today’s life study of the Bible.

Isaiah (Program #9) – The Salvation of Jehovah (7 & 8)

The Old Testament book of Isaiah seems to alternate between God’s judgment which issued from the degenerating and corrupted condition of His people and the glorious revelation of our Savior Christ.  This sequence also seems to parallel at times, our own experience.  After God’s chastisement and discipline we often enjoy the Lord in a deeper and more substantial way.  We will see this issue once again in two of Isaiah’s most marvelous chapters 11 and 12 on today’s life study of the Bible.

Isaiah (Program #8) -The Salvation of Jehovah to His Beloved People and the Nations (6)

Isaiah chapter 9 stands as one of the most striking in the Old Testament in its remarkable unveiling of our Savior Christ.  From “the great light” of verse 2 fulfilled in Matthew 4 to the “Son given to us” in verse 6 “the Wonderful Counselor, the Prince of Peace, the Might God and the Everlasting Father”, this is the Christ of Isaiah.  Don’t miss His unmistakable appearance on today’s life study of the Bible.

Isaiah (Program #1) – An Introductory Word

A well-known verse from Isaiah chapter 9 says “For a child is born to us, A son is given to us; And the government Is upon His shoulder; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”  These beautiful words of poetry and prophecy were spoken hundreds of years before the One to whom they so clearly pointed would come.  But a more clear and unmistakable portrait of our Savior Christ  cannot be found anywhere in Scripture.  These are the words of the Old Testament prophet Isaiah.  His book of poetry and prophecy stands as one of the most magnificent in the entire Bible.
