Romans (Program #69) – God Condemning Sin in the Flesh That We May be in the Spirit

We have a very helpful program today dealing with a topic that’s often debated among believers.

Today we have one of the great goals that we as Christians set for ourselves and that is the matter of walking according to spirit. Is this a proper goal for us as Christ to set for ourselves?   It seems like in one sense like one of those nebulous and kind of spiritual items that may be somewhat difficult to get a handle on in our experience.

Of course It is very critical that we Christians walk according to the spirit.  In Epistles, Paul even commands us to do this.  more…

Ephesians (Program #28) – The Revelation of the Mystery

Many places in scripture talk about how the believers should walk. For example we were told to walk by the Spirit and to walk according to love and to walk by faith, just to name a few.  But in Ephesians, where the view and revelation is the highest in the New Testament. We were told in Chapter 4:1 “..to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,”  But what kind of walk is this?

We will see today, in order to have a walk that is worthy of all that God has called us to, we, like the apostle Paul must first be prisoners.  4: 1 “I beseech you therefore, I, the prisoner in the Lord, to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,”

Galatians (Program #42) – Walk by the Spirit in the Enjoyment of Christ in our Spirit

To many people, the main item of the book of Romans is justification by faith and the main item in Galatians is to be free from the bondage of the law. Although both of these truths are present in these two books, the real goal and focus of both books is something else. For both Romans and Galatians reveal that God’s purpose or economy in justifying us and freeing us is for one thing – to make forgiven sinners into genuine sons of God in life.

Galatians (Program #41) – Walking by the Spirit to Live Christ

Before we were saved, most of us were quite aware that we and God were separate, far removed from each other. But after we’re saved, God is not separate and distant. Quite to the contrary, He was literally conceived in us and born into us. By regeneration, we and God have become one Spirit. How marvelous is this divine reality, but does it match our understanding?  Even more, does it match our experience? Don’t miss today’s life study of the Bible.

Galatians (Program #39) – Walking in the Divine Rules and Steps By the Spirit

Great religions are present in virtually every corner of the earth. For the most part, they’re sincere, stress good, ethical, and moral teaching that are consistent with those of the Bible. Along side the great religions of the world stand culture and tradition. These three (religion, culture, and tradition) represent the highest and most noble attainments of human life. Yet, it is these three very positive things that God’s enemy specifically uses to distract and divert men from God and from His purpose. You will not want to miss today’s marvelous unfolding of the Word of God from the book of Galatians.

Galatians (Program #38) -Two Kinds of the Walk by the Spirit

The New Testament reveals that as believers in Christ, it should be our experience to walk by the Spirit. All genuine Christians desire such a spiritual walk, for out of it issues the fruit of the Spirit. But Galatians and other New Testament books reveals another kind of spiritual walk – a walk that does not only produces fruit of the Spirit but accomplishes God’s goal as well.

Galatians (Program #37) – Receiving and Enjoying the Grace of the Lord in Our Spirit

There are two references to walking by or walking in Spirit in Galatians 5. Verse 16 says, “But I say, Walk by the Spirit and you shall by no means fulfill the lust of the flesh”. Then in verse 25, Paul comes back and says, “If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit”. Particularly, we’re going to see something about these two references and how they actually are not talking about one kind of walk but two.

Galatians (Program #34) – Live and Walk by the Spirit

The book of Galatians reveals 2 categories of people: those born according to flesh and those born according to Spirit. We might think this refers to Christians and non-Christians, and in a sense, thats true. But in fact as believers in Christ, our experience testifies that we can be in either category. The great conflict of flesh and Spirit is our focus on today’s life study of the Bible.

Galatians (Program #29) – How to Restore the Fallen One

Now, we can sow unto the Spirit and eventually we will reap from the Spirit eternal life. Since we cannot avoid sowing, let’s all learn by the Lord’s grace to sow unto the Spirit.

We are in chapter 6 now, the last chapter of this book of Galatians. At the end of chapter 5, the Apostle Paul gives the charge for all of the believers, to walk by the Spirit. Today in chapter 6, it somewhat continues his charge. But now, it incorporates the matter of sowing and reaping. These two things are not so unrelated. They are intricately related…

Galatians (Program #27) – Walk by the Spirit Not by the Flesh

In a very well-known passage of the New Testament, the Apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 5:16 to walk by the Spirit. Our walk is how we live, how we move, and even how we have our being. It’s a very inclusive term. To meet the spiritual requirement of the New Testament, we need to live, move, and have our being by the Spirit. Practically, what does this mean? This is our focus on today’s life study of the Bible.
