This is often referred to as the Day of the Lord or the Coming Day of the Wrath of the Lord.  It is like that will be like no other, as it ushers in God’s wrath upon the fallen and rebellious earth. In the seven prophetic letters written to the seven local churches in Asia in Revelation two and three, the Lord commends each one for the positive things He finds in their midst. But in five of the seven, there is also the exposing and shining eyes as He judges and warns them of the evil found in their midst. Of these five that were found in a negative situation, Thyatira occupies an unique place for Thyatira tolerates the evil woman Jezebel.

Revelation (Program #12) – Pergamos – Eating For Transformation

Revelation chapters two and three present us with seven epistles written to seven local churches. These letters are the record of the actual situation existing in these seven churches at the time the letters were written.  But since this is Revelation, a book of signs with a prophetic nature, the situations of the seven churches are also signs signifying prophetically the progress of the church in seven stages.  Today we come to the third of these seven letters, the church in Pergamos.
