Acts (Program #15) – The Propagation in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria through the Ministry of Peter’s Company (11)

As Christians, we all know Christ as our Savior and our Lord. We may also know Him as our friend, even our healer, and many other precious items. Yet, can we say that we, like Peter in Acts chapter 4, know Christ as the stone for God’s building?  Stay tuned for today’s life study of the Bible as we get a priceless view into the very heart of God.

John (Program #51) – Life in Resurrection (2)

We should treasure the way the Lord has ordained to be present with us now. May the Lord really open our eyes: that what is precious to God, that is the invisible, indwelling, pneumatic Christ, would also become precious to us.

In John 20 as in the Gospel of John as a whole, we see the Trinity both in His essence and in His economy. The Divine Trinity is a trinity of essence eternally that is the Father, Son, and Spirit coexist and co-inhere in the Godhead eternally. This is the Trinity in essence. But in order to have the fulfillment of God’s economy, the essential Trinity must function as the economical Trinity to pass through the process in order to, on the one hand, enter into God’s people, and on the other to bring God’s people, now redeemed and regenerated, into God. By the time we reach chapter 20, we have at least the initial completion of this process in which the very God who became a man and died for our redemption, in resurrection became the Spirit, so that, economically speaking, the Father, Son, and Spirit may indwell us.

John (Program #35) – The Dispensing of the Triune God for the Producing of His Abode (3)

People think that the Lord Jesus has gone to prepare a big mansion for us in heaven. As though God had two dwelling places, or two buildings, God only has one building. Not one on heaven and one on earth. He has one building.

This chapter (John 14) is very mysterious I admit, and it’s very misunderstood. But, this chapter is really the last message that the Lord gave to His disciples. And, here He’s talking about going away. Many people misunderstand this. But, He’s just talking here about His going to the cross. And, when He goes to the cross, He is also promising that He will come again. His coming again of course is after His resurrection. He will come back to them. And when He comes back to them, He will be the Spirit because in His resurrection He becomes the life giving Spirit.

John (Program #28) – The Need of the Dead – Life’s Resurrecting

Lazarus comes forth, but he still has his grave clothes on. So, what the Lord told the ones around him is, “loose him and let him go”. We still need the brothers and sisters. When we meet with them, we are loose and we are free to follow Christ with those who cooperate with the Lord in resurrection.

This is the conclusion of a long section from John 3 through John 11 that shows us how Christ as the divine, eternal, uncreated life of God meets the need of every man’s case.

John (Program #22) – The Need of the Hungry – Life’s Feeding (2)

I love this connection between the Spirit and the Word because it gives me a way in my daily life to come to the Lord and contact Him and feed on Him and drink Him in. So in our daily living, we have Christ as the living bread, the bread of life, the bread of God.

We come again today to chapter 6 in John.  We saw how the Lord fed the thousands and that was really to show how He meets the need of the hungry and now the disciples are fed but they have another problem.

John (Program #14) – The Need of the Moral People – Life’s Regenerating (1)

Regardless of how cold you are or how bad you are, as long as you are a human being, you need to be terminated. And, you need to be germinated, germinated with the divine life.

Life meeting the need of man’s every case. From chapter 3 through chapter 11, altogether John, the writer, selected 9 cases from many, many things done by the Lord, maybe thousands of cases. But, John only selected 9 of so many cases to illustrate how the Lord as life can meet the need of every man’s case.

Luke (Program #44) – The Man-Savior’s Presentation of Himself to Death for Redemption (4)

One item that seems to interest all believers is the rapture of the Christians at the time of the Lord second coming. The prevailing thought among believers today is that the rapture rescues all the saved ones so that they do not have to pass through the suffering associated with the great tribulation.  But the Bible if you read it carefully just does not support such a view. Because it depicts aspect of the rapture taking place at different times. In history these passages had led to confusions, and strong disputing among the brothers and sisters in the Lord. We will touch some of this confusing matters today.  If the Lord is merciful, we would be brought into a clearer view of this very crucial matter.

21 Nov 2016 Ezekiel (Program #23)

Ezekiel (Program #23) – The Priests and the Offerings

The Lord revealed to Ezekiel that above all, He desires a place on the earth where He can put the soles of His feet that would also be the place of His throne. In other words, God desires to have a dwelling place, a place of rest and satisfaction; and, a place where He can administrate His heavenly rule and His divine move over the entire earth. This is the real significance of the house of God as revealed to Ezekiel and as revealed to us, the church, which is the reality of the house of God in the New Testament. But after we receive such a high revelation concerning the significance of God’s building, we need a further realization as to the kind of persons that are qualified to serve Him in His house.

Colossians (Program #44) – One with Christ in the Things Above

The full salvation that we receive in Christ is not a simple thing. Yes, we have been forgiven and eternally secure to be with the Lord. That, in itself, sounds simple, but our salvation brings with it much more than simply this. For example, do you know that you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Well, this is a direct quote from Colossians 3:3. So what does it mean for our life to be hidden with Christ in God? Well, we’ll find out a bit more today, but for sure it means that when we receive Christ into us as life at the moment of regeneration or rebirth, Christ then hides us in Himself and brings us into God as our realm and our sphere. Still think salvation is a simple thing?
