Hebrews (Program #28) – The High Priest According to the Order of Melchisedec and the Cause of Eternal Salvation

Whatever the kind of problem we have, whatever kind of difficulties we face in our marry life, and our business life and all kinds of situation, we can just enjoy Christ as the Melchisedec, the Great High Priest, giving Himself as the One who is bread and wine to be our daily supply.

For centuries in the Old Testament God’s interests and people were served by the priesthood.  But in Hebrews, we see a marvelous succession to that priesthood, no longer do we look at any earthly man to intervene for us to God.  We look to Christ alone as our Great High Priest, a Priest after the order of Melchisedec.

Zechariah (Program #11) – The Prophecies of Encouragement (3)

Zechariah is one of those hidden treasures in the Old Testament. As a book of prophecy it does seem mysterious and rather vague to many readers of the Bible. But as with all Scripture, with the Spirit’s illumination and the right keys to unlock our understanding, it reveals marvelous treasures. The main treasure in Zechariah is how compellingly and marvelously Christ is revealed. We see Him as the Shepherd of God’s flock in chapters 11 through 13, as He comes in, in an intimate way to feed and supply God’s suffering people. But we also see how this One was fully rejected, attacked, judged and ultimately crucified as well.

And I answered and spoke to the angel who spoke with me saying, What are these, sir?”

The coming of the Lord Jesus Christ brought in a complete change in the way God dealt with men. His desire today is to bring a rich and bountiful supply of His Spirit to all His children. Galatians 3:5 says, “He therefore who bountifully supplies to you the Spirit and does works of power among you, does He do it out of the works of law or out of the hearing of faith?” Are we still struggling under the law or are we receiving the Spirit through faith? Stay tuned for today’s life study of the Bible.

Galatians (Program #14) – Hearing of Faith Versus Works of Law

Galatians 3 presents the Christian with two crucial questions. First, did we receive the Spirit by faith or through law? Then, does God continue to supply the Spirit or by the works of the law? How do we receive the Spirit? And, is the receiving of the Spirit once for all or do we need it continually? Receiving the supply of the Spirit is the focus of today’s life study of the Bible.
